From what the video shows, the suspect was pulled over because the plates didn't match the make/model of the car, which is illegal. The cop clearly told him this and the suspect was clearly playing dumb. The suspect wanted to get himself off the hook so went into flight and fight mode, which is a pretty stupid thing to do with a cop. As one would predict it ended badly for the suspect.
Guessing the suspect was driving a stolen car and didn't want to face the music by going to jail.
