In truth, humankind has never been at risk of running out of energy. There has always been enough fossil fuels to power human civilization for hundreds and perhaps thousands of years

He should watch the movie but Frank doesn't like to learn. Frank if you actually watch the movie it shows how reliant green energy is on fossil fuel. The movie makes Bloomberg and Gore look really bad. LOL. The lemmings on the left fell for all this garbage. Do you think his movies, like Farenheit 11/9, are totally accurate and on the money?

The argument that we are running out of fossil fuels is really a fallacious one. First, if we start seeing the real end of the fossil fuel supply, prices will start creeping up. It won't be like a switch one day low prices, next day high prices. The creeping upward prices will drive research and production for alternatives. That's basic economics.

Second is the old commodity market adage, the cure for higher oil prices is higher oil prices. High oil prices drive conservation, alternative energy and most importantly exploration and development of fossil fuel resources. This is what has happened in the 80s and it also started the downward oil price cycle in 2015. The exploration and development of fossil fuels around the world has helped to create the glut we had pre-COVID that is now an all-out crash in prices.

You miss the point that renewables are now competitive with fossil fuels.
And if it costs the same to do solar/wind as coal/natural gas for generation, would you pick the one who's raw materials are likely to go up in price?

Franky does not remember the Green Energy Act in Ontario that Kathleen and her buddies implemented which cause hydro rates to rise. one month i had to spend $400 in Hydro bills. today after the green energy act was repealed hydro bills are on average $50 a month. in Germany similar green energy programs make Germany have the highest electricity rates in Europe.

I enjoy his films, for the most part he is right, sometimes, especially in earlier films he engaged in a but of Hyperbole but with a core of truth.

What has been happening lately however is his constant exposure to various champions of the both sides in politics has made him realize an extremist is an extremist. And both sides have profit mongers willing to lie to Bank cash.

I'm betting this exposes some of that. You are far better to weed out a few than to defend them from an ideological standpoint.
