If London wants all rating websites down in a state like California then I can imagine how quickly London can shut Canada's website "TERB". Since we are in the commonwealth and still wiping the Queen's ass with taxpayers money then this will happen with one phone call to parliament. Yep... Sorry Fred (MY BRO) but we'll all one day have to find another hobby on the web. Here's the positive side. Service info. will then become discrete like the old days and everything will go back to a SAFE CBJ and that's probably a good thing for everyone considering the widespread of diseases in this world. They have been trying to shut down or regulate porn on the web since the internet began. What makes you think they can shut down sites like terb? They should focus resources on shuting down child porn sites.

It sounds like the web-site in question was specifically targeted at the London market (which TERB is not) and (from the article) it seems as though the site encouraged pimps to openly market their ladies on-line (which is not the prmiary focus of TERB).

I think the site in this article is quite different from TERB. Since it calls itself the "The Online Community for Patrons and Providers of Adult Personal Services in the UK" I can understand why the British government might take an interest.

Actually, in the uk, the laws regarding selling sex are similar (more or less) to Canada. Outcall is legal, independent incall is legal. Like here, brothels are illegal, as is pimping/ living of the avails etc.

Where they can probably get you is if you post some bullshit that is libelous and causes damages, the person could take the internet provider to court to reveal the details of who made the post. It's a lot of work and work require a lot of cash but they could trace it back to the original writer.

Before you say bullshit, there was a case last year of a New York socialite who went after an internet provider and ultimately won her case. The IP was forced to reveal the identity of the person who made the libelous statements and it turned out to be one of her best friends!!!

I have no doubt there are lawyers out there who specialize in this type of thing. It's all a matter of whether the victim has the cash and wants to pursue the matter.
