...this forum HARDLY represents all, or even MOST men.

I am a man, and I have been literaly frightened by some of the things I have read here. It isn't some much that anythng surprises me (not much does), it is by how many will "cosign" on in agreement.

You are looking at a very small and particularly segmented portion of society - men who share something somewhat unique. This is NOT a place to learn about "men"....

Having said that...well, yes, we men are pretty much simple minded, with what you see being what you get...and yes, we OFTEN do think with the "little head"....

like several posters have pointed out if you want to learn about guys this is the wrong board.....making conclusions about guys from what you read on this board would be a mistake....most guys would not be comfortable with what we do.....and we've also got some really weird people here

I've got alot of friends thru work who are pretty open and progressive but only 3 of the 50 in one shop would even consider frequenting MP's or SP's - and we've had alot of wide open controversial discussions on breaks and lunches. That's about 6% of a randomly sampled, male dominated workplace in the film industry (which is known for "loose" morality).
Good luck with that "figuring guys out thing"

I disagree.

I think when it comes to sexual desires we represent a good cross section of the "average" population of males. The only difference is that we are willing to go after what we want because we have the opportunity (time and money) due to our particular circumstance, either we're not in a committed relationship or if we are, we need it bad enough to still go get some.

Why do you guys think the "average" male is so different than us? They may not go out and get escorts but look how many have affairs with neighbours, friends and bar pick-ups and many repress their desires due to moral and/or financial reasons, but it doesn't mean they still don't lust and wouldn't be banging as many girls as they could if they had the opportunity.

Some guys have very low libidos and some guys are sexual deviants/criminals, but on the average, even though there is a wide variety of tastes on TERB (as there is in the general population) I think this is a good place to find out how guys think because we're willing to discuss our desires and habits openly. That's the biggest difference. We accept our desires and have a place to talk about them.

Seinfeld did a really good skit in one of his stand ups. It went to the effect that he was telling ladies to stop agonizing over what males think and please believe then when they say " nothing" in answer to the question , " What are you thinking". jerry admits to women that we really don't have anything going on in our minds, its basically blank.

To support that theory you only need to read many of the threads on TERB.

My observation has been that there's a lot of rhetoric and posturing in the workplace. It's an everyday occurrence to hear someone BS and manipulate situations to make themselves look good, moral, etc. Since this hobby is very much taboo and not exactly legal, it's generally a given that most guys will not openly admit that they they're remotely interested in pursuing such activities, let alone a frequent flyer. I think the actual percentage will be a lot higher ( >50% ).

Wow...I didn't really expect the response I got...when I posted, I just got back from closing down the local pub with some friends and was a little tipsy....lol.

Thanks for the PM's and replys .... I actually got interested in reading review boards when it became apparent that a serial killer was picking off SW's in Edmonton. I wanted to understand the business and I must say, am learning a lot.

I am sure that none of you really care, but I am not here to judge anyone....I just find some of the posters on here...well, um...shall we say 'interesting'. And I can also see that there's a lot more intelligence on here than I expected!

I may even just have a few opinions to post once in a while....

And for the curious, I'm long time divorced and....not in the business, oh hell, I'm just a dried up old bat that gets her jollies reading review boards...hahaha.

Actually I think this is a decent representation of the male psyche. The funny part is that most male stereotypes are prevalent in many of the threads.
