I am one of the fortunate few who get paid very very well for a job I truly enjoy. Sure, I get frustrated and have days when I update my resume, but sanity returns and I realize how good I have it in spite of the occasional politics, babysitting, and other distractions.

The state of the economy has certainly curtailed job searches, but I would only entertain a change for an obscene amount of money anyway. My biggest fear is that my present situation will come to an unexpected and abrupt halt... a fear that comes a little closer to reality with each month that the economy stays near recession.

I participate in this hobby for reasons completely unrelated to either the ecomony or my job. I enjoy the variety and the companionship without the strings attached. Whether in a dating relationship or not, I still participate simply to know how green the grass might be on the other side of the fence. For me, it is strictly about fun and adventure and mutual pleasure.

The motivation probably differs for everyone. And the obvious cannot be overlooked.........that guys are just really horny by nature.

For me an SP provides an aspect of sexual activity that I don't get with my significant other, since she prefers 'vanilla sex'.

Like my job? Tough to say I just started it 6 months ago. It has many benefits and of course many negatives. I am paid fairly well for what I do, although I sacrificed significant pay in order to work closer to home ( outside the GTA). I returned to this industry after a 5 year absence because of the money & location.I spent the last 4 years travelling across Canada in a consulting position. I enjoyed seeing this beautiful country, but living in hotels 5 days a week, and spending so much time in an airplane gets boring. Business travel is fine for the short term, boring in the long term.
I do my job for the money. Had some rough times and I am gettingback on my feet, that's all.
Why the hobby? I am single, work way too much & go to grad school full time. When I want a woman to "play with", I can pick up the phone, have a hell of a time and be treated like a king for an hour or two.The SP's/MP's I visit make me feel great while I am with them. No more is expected, nor asked. No b.s. No worries about not calling the next day.No complaints by a lady that I work too much and don't spend enough time with her.
Would I like a s/o? Yes. However given the circumstances I have plaved myself in, that is very difficult. When it happens, my hobbying will end. Until that time, I will continue to indulge!

I love my job, 100%. If it were up to me, I'd retire from my current position.

I guess I'm very lucky. I get everything I need and more. I know I'm lucky because of the way I landed the position - totally by accident!
