Hi everyone. I’ve been away a while, and after trying my best to ignore the proverbial itch, have accepted my journey back into this wonderful world is a matter of time. I was searching the site, but cannot see anyone holding any meet and greets. Is this something that is no longer done? I loved the opportunity to meet and chat with the ladies in a social setting, and arranged a number of dates directly from those events.

Does anyone know of any events planned?

We had these regularly in San Diego, associated with a now long defunct site.

They were so great. Being able to meet the girls in person before booking was amazing. Building a network of providers and hobbyists was a game changer. Not just meeting the providers but networking in person with hobbyists too.

There are logistical and security issues that must be overcome but I can tell you it’s great.

That’s cool. Ours regular meet ups were free. Parties had a nominal fee to cover refreshment costs.

Many years ago, some agencies did jointly hold a party where you could meet girls from their agency (and independents who attended). It was popular and I was surprised it hasn't occurred since then.

Any ladies or agencies wish to comment why these appear to be no longer held?
I’ve been to agency and independent parties downtown. There was even one year where a boat was rented on the lake and there was a mini lake cruise while everyone chatted and drank and had a great time together.

Back in the day there were Terb socials, and socials from other boards as well. Just informal hangouts at a club downtown or wherever… Hobbyists/ SPs could mingle and network while enjoying a night on the town. (The after parties were the best! lol). I miss that…

Terb socials were awesome but unfortunately a thing of the past.

I think it was “safer” in those days because the internet was still pretty tame and social media was just starting out. As well, less access to cameras (phone cameras were shitty resolution), and no wearable tech.

There were also way less pervs on the board!!

Christmas, New Years, Halloween, Toronto harbour boat cruises… those were the days

I'm in. Where would they normally be? A restaurant/bar? Or a private location?

People are saying women would come and socialize. Where they being paid? Or what's in it for them? Just networking/socializing?

If someone with some knowledge and experience wants to join me I'm happy to do the organization and see if we get any interest.

we need the ladies to be interested. I know it’s an investment in time on their behalf, so we need to make sure the guys that go are not just time wasters. Need the girls to commit first though I think, to avoid a sausage fest.
