Anybody here hold an MBNA MasterCard credit card? If yes, I have a bit of wise advice for you in light of the TD takeover of MBNA.

You automatically become a TD card holder in October. Same with Citi Bank you automatically become a Cibc card holder too.

Looks like US banks are pulling in there horns in Canada, going back home and collecting there bailout.

Of course that is only if you have a Canadian Mastercard, otherwise you are part of Bank of America.

Now I am certain that Amadeo P. Giannini is spining in his grave over what has happened to the Bank of America, but that I suppose is another matter.

Here is the advice. Be sure to keep your MBNA credit card until ALL your credits have been processed. If you return a product back to the store AFTER you cut up your MBNA credit card, the store might say they cannot credit a credit card that no longer exist. True story, I ran into this problem earlier this year when BMO bought the Citibank Mastercard.
