Does anyone know what happened to MBB. I was a member there for a long time and when it disapeared I just lurked here for a while deciding whether or not to join.

Kayla closed MBB down in late September.

Some of us have started a new board called PBRW (People Behaving Reasonably Well), and most of the prolific MBB posters are there. For the next while at least, only former MBB members are eligible to join PBRW.

PBRW is a private forum currently open to all former posting members of MBB.

What flame wars? There were hardly any on MBB, and there are even fewer now. There's a special section called "Pissing Contests" for that kind of thing, if one is so inclined. It's not used much.

The Ripped/picky show is still there, but that isn't really a flame war. It's entertainment for everyone else.

Although things have quieted down here a little, TERB always had WAY more flame wars than MBB. There was, and still is, virtually also no mindless anti-Americanism either. There's still quite a bit of that here on TERB, and that generates a lot of flame wars..

If I remember correctly PBRW was set up by Ripped (for those who remember him). He was kicked off every other board so when Kayla shut down MBB he had nowhere to go. I suspect that he set up PBRW so he would have people to talk to/insult.

Besides, since his nemesis picky is also banned from most boards there would be nowhere for them to carry on their virtual jerk-off contest.

Yes, Ripped set up the forum for us to have a place to play in the manner that we've grown accustomed to on MBB. It is a small caring community of friends and a fun place to post, debate or express our feelings.

There is a place for many types and styles of forums on the internet. We all, as water does, seek out our own level of entertainment and in all else. This may surprise you but we rarely discuss other forums on PBRW and pattern PBRW upon our needs and the desires of the community and not upon other forums.

You seem to be implying that there is a hostile environment on PBRW because of Ripped and/or picky(seven) there is not. Like any family, we tend to be disfunctional at times. Oh well, such is life and it marches on ..

As for picky, he IS NOT banned from any boards.

As for Ripped, there are no so called pissing contests for him to become involved in. As ripped might say, there are no *ssholes there to play with. In his not so humble [subjective] opinion, of course.

What is the point to having all these diffrent boards. Shouldn't we concentrate all our info in one central place, thus making it easier to access?

Then what's the point of having different Ice Cream flavours like Rocky Road, Caramel Pecan, Pistachio Nut, English Toffee, etc...? We might as well just all eat Vanilla Ice Cream.

Why drive all these different models of cars like the Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Nissan PathFinder, Ford Escort, GMC Jimmy, Dodge Dakota, etc...? Maybe we should all just drive Lada's like they used to in the former Soviet Union.

Ripped was never kicked off terb. He got fed up and left on his own. Personally I think ever since Lyla was shown the door, ripped got lonely.

Thanks for clearing that up. The way he talked about TERB when I was on MBB I just assumed he was tossed.

I remember those Ripped/Lyla slugfests. They were some of the nastiest battles I ever saw.

I didn't get an invite either. I heard about it from another MBB refuge here that asked why they hadn't seen me posting there. I was going to join until I saw Ripped was running it. He just came across as too arrogant and pompus for my taste. Considering I had him and picky on my ignore list there wasn't much point joining a board run by him.

picky did used to complain about how he got pushed off other boards and I just assumed he was talking about being kicked off but maybe like Ripped he left of his own accord.

Perhaps what I should say is that their behaviour is not welcome on most other boards.

Average Joe... Do you want to know what I find entertaining. I met you almost two years ago at a party. You are a sweet heart. Your opinionated and antagonistic at times on TERb and you can not deny that... Most of us are. I aslo met Ripped shortly there after. I am of the opinion that if the two of you were sitting at the same table the conversations would be great, there would be no arguements and you would be stunned to find out who he was after the fact.

You're right Aphrodite I can be opinionated and antagonistic at times, as we all can, but that is only a small number of my posts. However, I found the vast majority of Ripped's posts as confrontational, condescending and rude. Normally I just avoid people like that but on a small board like MBB it was difficult and on an even smaller board like his it would be damn near impossible.

He may be very different in person than his written word but I don't interact with him in person.

I don't have any ill will towards him and I'm glad that he has created a place that people can enjoy. I just don't want to spend my time reading what he has to say.

BTW, I have made a deal with a certain lady to be my "date" at a future TERB party. I'll let you know which one and if you can make it as well I'll buy you a drink.

Uh Pool, Picky did get suspended a few times from terb and I swear I had nothing to do with it (why does everyone always assume I'm the one kicking people off?). He was suspended just recently but was allowed back after promising to abide by a few guidelines.

I never promised to anything nor was I given any guidelines to follow in order to be allowed back on Terb.
