Mayweather is going to throw the fight. The re-match will garner a lot of interest!
Very unlikely. He has LIVED for that ability to claim being unbeaten (offically anyway) I seriously doubt he would give it up willingly. I think if he lost at this point, to this opponent, he would probably fall apart mentally in his private life and spiral out of control.

I imagine this one will be heavily minde with false links and malware
The goatdee should be allright, I never had a problem with them.

Even though, you should always have your antivirus, malware....etc updated just in case

I hope this fight lasts at least 6 rounds. I want to see lots of blood.
I can't remember the last time I two fighters who I detest this much. I'd like to see them both get destroyed, neither of them winning, and have to forfeit their purses.

And I don't know about a fix but money sure talks. No other way would this fight even be approved by any honest athletics organization.

Connor did pretty good, better than expected. The fight was good. But Mayweather was just too good, he wasn't going to lose. I agree that the ref should of let Connor go out on his shield.

Connor should fight the winner of Canelo/GGG.

If GGG beats Canelo then Floyd could probably make another $100 million for that fight. Mayweather would want GGG to come down a weight class because there's no way he wants to fight him at his natural weight

It looked like McGregor was trying to do the Lomachenko trick of moving the gloves with one hand then following with the other hand. He was not nearly as successful as Lomachenko usually is at that tactic

Floyd is not fighting GGG, that is just not happening.

Connor often uses that tactic in his mma fights.

Indeed. Made for a heck of a long night last night. Ugh
Fun fight, fun time, but when Floyd had enough entertaining the crowd, he shut things down.
yeah exactly...he could have take him out much earlier. Good thing the ref stopped the fight.

It was a decent fight and to my surprise I actually enjoyed it. Looks like McGregor was trying.

Also good thing someone on twitter streamed it...none of those links above worked properly for me.

It was a stupid fight. Mayweather was sparring for three or four rounds. He lets his sparring partners do that to him as part of his training. No one in the boxing game saw that as close. It was play fighting for a few rounds followed by total domination. As if Mayweather has never sparred with a bigger guy with longer reach preparing for 49 other fights. It was theatre. Worse than WWE. At least most people know WWE is fake.

Very entertaining fight. Way better than the pacman fight.

Oldest trick in the book. Wait for the heavy hitter to get tired then go in for the kill.

Trying to get my thoughts together on this thing:

1) Mayweather gets a 50-0 record against a guy who isn't a real boxer
2)The money and hype involved was insane. Boudaries were crossed verbally that would make rights people's heads explode, but it's okay because it's hype. Ali said some pretty bad stuff too when talking about Frazier, so it's not new.
3)Let's have a boxer take on a MMA guy fighting MMA style. Massacre in the making.
4)This fight was like a 100 meter runner against a decathlete. Yeah they're both runners, but one person has a distinct advantage. One is a specialist and one is a generalist.

There are other things but none of this matters because it was all about the big paycheck.
Boxers have fought MMA before and lost most of the time. Notable exception was one former UFC heavyweight that got KO'd by a middle aged boxer within 9 seconds in the octagon- Google Tim Sylvia vs ray mercer.

Boxing is part of MMA but MMA is not part of boxing, so a boxer fighting in MMA is an insane unfair mismatch that only a foolish boxer would take on unless they needed the money.

Yup. It was all fake. You can tell by how it ended, with both fighters showing their true colors and being complimentary to the other. Total theater.

Stipe's been calling out Anthony Joshua for a while now, I wonder if that fight will happen. Dana is not paying his fighters properly which is why they are starting to look to the other side for a big payday. Stipe does have golden gloves experience though.

Dillian Whyte and Lucas Browne are two high level boxers that have MMA experience but the economic incentive is not there for fighters like them to stay in that realm.

I'm just looking forward to some MMA now.
Canelo/GGG will be worth watching too though.

Paradise by the dashboard light.

I think the Pac-man fight was more interesting that you can appreciate the speed and technical advantage Pacquiao had over Floyd. In that fight, Pacquiao was the aggressor and Floyd was just trying not to get knocked out to defend his title.

This Connor fight was more entertaining with the thought of Floyd getting his ass whooped by a MMA fighter. Overall, Connor did a good job with the jabs and defending himself.
