I have not been able to find a store here in the GTA/Durham area that sells the Matricom G-Box Q, it seems you can only buy it online. Does anyone know if you can purchase it in any store?

Thanks for your reply Twister. I saw that ad already, as well as one cheaper on Craigslist. I am looking at this particular model because it seems to be the one most commonly at the top of lists when I do a google search, as well as being highly recommended by people I work with. Do you possibly have another suggestion? Amazon seems to be the place for me to purchase it.

I hear minix is the top of the line although not cheap (based in the US)

Other guys here have done very well with minix. I bought a mygica on black friday for $99 at Canada computers 4cpu octacore gpu 1gig ram 8 storage. I don't download apps so, so far I'm ok, I wanted it more for live TV .

I just picked up the Mygica atv1900ac from Canada Computers boxing week sale 179.99 similar specs as the the matricom the op was looking for. the mygica has 4 usb as opposed to the matricom's 2 and runs Android Lollipop as opposed to the older kitkat os on the matricom
I also added the air mouse with qwerty keyboard on the back for 20 bucks. so far everything has been really smooth setting up, it's fast and the air mouse works great

CComputers also has a Himedia Octacore (eight cores) for $99. I' suspicious as I don't understand why the bigger companies are not carrying this type of chip. But Great deal !!!
