Okay, this is another one of those "please settle this argument'" posts, similar to the nickname one I submitted a few weeks ago.

I told a female acquaintance that I jacked off regularly, and she didn't understand, given that I get the "real thing" on a consistent basis. I told her that nearly all men do it, and it has little to do with the quality or quantity of sex we are getting. If we are getting it, we might do it a little less, but we still do it. There is no logic to it. We do it because we can.

I am reminded of this sequence from the famous Seinfeld "The Bet" episode:

Jerry: We have to do it, it's part of our lifestyle. It's like shaving.

I don't know, I think you're going a bit far in your analogy. I'm pretty sure the Seinfeld reference was for guys who aren't getting any. I mean, if a hot babe is available and willing, it's a no-brainer. why waste perfectly good ammo. but then again, it usually takes me a full day to reload. it just isn't as enjoyable otherwise. but for guys who reload quickly or are bored with their partner, I guess they could do both

The Sad Truth

In my younger days, it was mandatory since I had a raging hard on from about 14 years old right through to about 25. As I have gotten older, it becomes more discretionary than mandatory as it does take me longer to reload....

My question is that in your prime years, how often did you pull your own chain..

It varied on whether I had a gf or not... but I know at one point it was almost daily...

That's a good question. One I'm not sure that I have the answer for.

Personally I think it's harder for some females to understand due to the fact that alot of us are taught to be prim and proper at a young age. Well as far as I'm concerned those teachings are wrong. Alot of females do it just as regularly as males do, some more. I know a few women that masterbate so they can get rid of headaches. Laugh at this but it really does work, I've tried it.
Actually masturbation is suppose to be healthy and a good way to release tension.
