This is without a doubt the most important earnings call. Expectations are sky high for NVIDIA which has tripled this year because of AI, and taken the stock to ridiculously inflated levels.

If it fails to meet the expectations and provides weak guidance, expect a bloodbath tomorrow in the stock market, especially tech stocks and the QQQ. OTH, if it meets expecations, this will ignite the comeback of the stock market, and stocks will soar. If the meeting in Jackson Hole is good, it will add fuel to the fire and stocks will begin a new rally.

A lot hinges on the report coming out soon!

Should have bought when I crashed last year this time to 108
Don't feel bad. I DID buy it at its lowest point. A HUGE amount (close to $100,000). Then I read some stupid article saying that it was overpriced, and I got scared and dumped it all. Just before second quarter earnings and the huge surge in the stock. I did still some profits, but could have made a killing. I really thought NVDIA would come crashing down after earnings. This time as well, but they met expectations. I cannot buy NVDIA now, it's way, way overpriced even factoring in the incredible growth. This stock is like TESLA and overhyped.

A long time ago, I recommended that the best stocks were those that had crashed the hardest (the three N's):

NVIDIA
Netflix
Norwegian

In my opinion, all three companies offered something of very great value, and were excellent companies. I thought there drastic meltdowns were completely unjustified, and that over time there stock would recover and you could make a lot of money.

So far NVIDIA has done far better than I thought. I really didn't think it would keep going once it hit it's previous peak. I never predicted the effect of chatgpt.

Netflix's rise back up has been very gradual, I thought the rise would be a bit sharper. But still believe it will eventually get back to it's former high pretty soon. When it comes to online streaming, netflix is king, and everyone I know has it. It's a quality company with great productions, especially their documentaries which I enjoy.

Norwegian will definitely go back to it's all time high, but in a few years. It is now trading at only $17 a share, down 75% from it's high a few years ago. It should quadruple within ten years, and at least double within one or two year, most likely triple. It's become much leaner and streamlined, demand is stronger than ever, and their debt is manageable. Their revenue and earnings should be dramatically improving, as the worst is behind them. Of all the companies hit hardest by covid, cruise lines have had it the worst. There was such bad publicity with the virus and infections, and the sthips being stranded. Then they were grounded for years and bled money. Now they are back to being profitable, and the money is pouring in from loyal customers who have waited years.

If only I had picked the 3 Ns . We all wish we made other choices. The key strategy is to diversify the portfolio.

I picked all three, and bought at the bottom of Netflix and Nvidia I still hold Netflix and Norwegian. Had I held on to Nvidia, I would have been several hundred thousand dollars richer. It's hard to think about.
