Thousands of layoffs that have hollowed out many of Calgary’s downtown office towers are translating into tough times for health-care businesses that offer services covered by workplace insurance plans.

Dentists, massage therapists and optometrists say they’re cutting staff and getting by with lower profits as they wait for the economy to turn around and employment levels to bounce back.

My friend did a bunch of work in Alberta. He still does a bit but much less now. The rates in Alberta are still.much higher than they are in Toronto. Girls that are nowhere as hot as some of the TDL or Mirage or Cupid ladies he's seen apparently charge between 280 - 350. The services, he says, are nowhere as good as those offered in Alberta. I am now living in Alberta, and let me tell you, there is NO comparision between Alberta and Toronto. None, zero, zilch. It's night and day.

You guys have it so lucky, you have no idea: HUGE selection of agencies and girls of all ethniticities to choose from. Most offer bbbj and liberal menus for a low rate. Last time I was living in TO, it was $250 or so an hour.

Here, in Alberta things are drastically different. There are no escort agencies, as I think all of them have been busted. None.

You can go on backpage, but it's very hit or miss. Rates for a good looking girl will be at least $300, and that's with cbj only. Did I mention how nearly impossible it is to get bbbj? Everyone only offers cbj it seems. Go to perb and look at the review boards, there is literally NOTHING. I'm not even kidding.

The last time I went to an Asian incall, the woman was so old and ugly.


Besides that, Toronto has the best diversity and quality of restaurants, culture and attraction, diverse population.


Here in Alberta, the landscape is depressing: barren plains for miles. The weather is horrendous, absolutely miserable, the people are very "rough" around the edges (at least in the city I live in). People spit on the ground all the time, there are drug addicts everywhere. The restaurants are shit. The roads are horrible. There isn't even ONE friggin grocery store in the whole city that is open 24 hours a day. So many times I've needed to get something late at night, but couldn't.

The downsides of Toronto are:
-cold weather
-people are offstandish, busy all the time, not very friendly
-cost of car insurance, housing
-hard to find a good job

Perhaps the pipeline to the USA would help change Alberta and Canada's economy? Last I read Trump is in favor of the Pipeline but PM Justin has to agree to many things Trump wants.
