She was called out by another customer for not wearing a mask, she then assaulted customer by pulling her hair and slamming her into a wall.

It's just not worth it to call out people like this Covid or not. Leave it for the business owner / manager to look after. There's likely much more to the story, but there's still no excuse for the teacher to assault someone.

Police should charge her with assault, fine her for not wearing a mask and school board should suspend her without pay and benefits until next Sept.
Why do people have to lose their jobs in your world?

Covid by-law rules state to remind someone to follow the rules NOT to engage with them.

Who the fuck made this person an authority figure??

I hope it was worth it. Some people just dont think that getting your ass kicked just might be a repercussion of not minding your own fucking business?

You never know who you might be poking your nose at?!

Lots of people lose their jobs for criminal offenses. Why should she be any different?

Who in their right mind would want a piece of garbage like this teaching their kids?

There should be morals clauses in their contracts which would allow them to fire her without compensation or notice.

It doesn't matter if she is convicted of an assault charge.
You can teach with a criminal record in Canada. The school board that oversees your school will request that you attend an interview in which all the facts in the matter will be reviewed. Typically, a teacher will be allowed to keep his or her job as long as a previous or current criminal record does not present a risk to the safety of the students or anyone else who works at the school.

It will depend on what/whether charges are laid. In my field, certain criminal convictions can result in losing your accreditation and I believe teachers have some kind of oversite body. Of course it would have to go through the criminal courts and then whatever process the teachers have first. I'm sure she could be suspended with pay during the investigation if her employer thinks it impacts her job.

I don’t engage people.

Only once when a guy was yelling by-laws at a teenager/young adult tending cash at the grocery store. And all I said was that she was just an employee doing what she is told by her boss so she doesn’t lose her job and if he had an issue with the mask mandate he needed to take it up with the manager or the government because this poor girl can do anything but be your verbal punching bag. That got his attention and he huffed and walked out. He was mad and had his opinion but he figured out the girl had absolutely nothing to do with it.

But other then that - I don’t know who is exempt and who is just an anti-masker, so I stay out of it.

99.9% of the mask exemption claims are total bullshit!

In Dr. Keany’s opinion, if your respiratory status is truly that tenuous that you’re not able to breathe through a cloth face covering, you should stay home and not expose yourself to any risk. “If you are truly that fragile, a COVID-19 infection could be a death sentence,” he says.

One word: UNION

Unfortunately, even a pedo teacher just gets moved to another school or works at the board.

Yeah, sure they do! If a teacher is charged with having sex with a minor they end up in jail, never mind losing their jobs.

How much I hate wearing a mask as a healthy person (doesnt make sense to me and I know about asymptomatic) I still follow the rules.

I would never rant or yell at an employee. We were all there at one time or another. You're there for a paycheck and not to be an enforcer. Also, as a father to 2 kids, it would kill me to know that a customer or person bitched at them. I can only imagine other parents feel the same way?

And as for the exemption? It doesnt exist!!

I've heard and seen people with legit exemptions refused entry into a store owner business as the store owner implemented their own rules on masks.

So, why have exemptions when stores make up their own rules and dont follow BY-LAW rules?

Seems the same will be true when it comes to vaccinating employees.........against their will because, you know, like our culture is today they'd lose their job!

Sounds like the same crack pot teachers I had to endure through school. Bunch of bloody nut jobs they were.
I would say they have such a sense of entitlement they think they can do no wrong and should be treated like they are special and society can't function without them.
It's evident everytime they are in contract negotiations.

All excellent points.
Usually, from what I have seen signs say if you can not wear a mask, then call the number on the sign for curbside pickup or other arrangements.

Agreed it does happen.
Years ago at the catholic high school, a music teacher was caught having sex with a grade 9 student, he was charged and plea bargained but still teaches at a catholic elementary school because he completed some kind of rehabilitation course.
He never served jail time, just house arrest and worked at the catholic school board office between the time he was charged till he set up the plea bargain.
