If I could just get a judge to rule whether I meant poor or poor it would be all a lot clearer.
So that we're all clear where the buck stops: besides making the laws, the elected legislators appoint the poor judges. The pols have only themselves to blame for their poor performance.

Judges should apply law, not make it: Rothstein

Marshall Rothstein, the first Supreme Court nominee to undergo a public grilling by MPs, said Monday that he agrees judges should interpret the law rather than make it.


Rothstein: "It seems to me that the social agenda is the agenda for Parliament ... The court's job is really to take what you (MPs) say about social issues and try to interpret it as best we can and apply it to the facts."
