Brazil Carnival
February 12 to 17, 2021 The parade, and possibly street parties, cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic

Pre-COVID, I've been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans a couple of times, Quebec 3-4 times and Brazil once. Maybe I'll post some pics.

I only attended Brazil Carnival once. Many extremely poor people in Brazil. It is a really scary place. Robberies, assaults even murders are fairly common.

Toplessness very common and occasional bottomless. Ladies bare their boobs and guys toss them beads from balconies.


This was during the day and for some unknown reason this couple decided to expose their privates.

i spent 2 halloween and 1 regular Saturday night weekend in new orleans in the past 3 years and i have to admit I never had so much fun in my life.

If not already done, it must be on everybody's bucket list. Not sure about 2021 with COVID.

Mardi Gras 2024 fast approaching Tuesday Feb 13

So, by fluke I'm in french quarter the week before fat Tuesday, bourbon & canal area hotel. I hear most of the fun happens leading up to Tues, but unfortunately I will be leaving town the Saturday before.
(for shame, I know, but rooms flights etc would cost me an extra 3500 to stay through the Tuesday before any donations)
Saw the parade route schedule, will see the sights etc .. they have a bunch of parades that week in the lead up anyway..

I'm curious what hobby scene looks like there during that busy time ??
I'm guessing there is an influx of traveling sp's, I am just unsure if maybe, I should book with a local; to be more trustworthy, less chance of scams etc. Some people have said to just find local civi ladies, but I'm not much of a gambler.
Any reliable sites for hobby state side? Tryst I know.
I appreciate any advice or suggestions, from anyone who traveled there before, thanks.
