I agree with NC State being surprise. Also look out for Gonzaga, they might surprise of few this tourney.

Looking forward too seeing Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Dillon Brooks, Kevin Pangos, Daniel Mullings, Jarryn Skeete, Negus Webster-Chan, Kyle Wiltjer, Dylan Ennis, Tevonn Walker, Olivier Hanlan, and Trey Lyles represent for Canada in the tourney.

I didn't include non-stars

The tarheels pulled off a big upset yesterday (though it feels strange calling NC an underdog) and look good for going a couple rounds despite a lower than normal ranking. Obviously Kentucky is a good bet to go undefeated. I could easily see Wisconsin and Villanova in the final 4 with them depending on where teams are seeded. I'd love to see the other big east teams do well. St. Johns and Providence likely making the dance makes me feel young again. I see Iowa State and GTA'er Naz Long look like a good bet for elite 8 as should Arizona. Both teams in yesterday's Duke/Irish match-up should do well.

Though I tend not to do too well with long shots, I like Cincinnati and Davidson (if they even make the tourney). Both teams play with lots of heart. Murray State is one of those low conference teams that might have enough confidence to go a couple rounds.

If VCU makes it, I see them getting upset in the 1st round. Briante Webber, their top defensive player, is out. I also think Virginia will be gone by the sweet sixteen. They lack size. Dayton is another team that I see getting upset. The team that I think will go far is Utah. That is a well disciplined team. I think either Arizona or Kentucky will win it all.

I have Kentucky, Arizona, Villanova and Iowa St. in the final four, with Kentucky winning it all.

So it begins with the 'play in' games.
Two today and two tomorrow.

Tonight
Hampton vs Manhattan will play to see who gets to be the 16 seed in the Mid-West bracket and lose to Kentucky on Thursday.

While BYU vs Ole Miss winner will enter as the 11 seed in the West and play Xavier also on Thursday.

Game #1 and two seconds away from upset #1 as the Irish barely hold on against Northeastern.

Game number 2 and the upset. Iowa state falls. (Niang did get fouled with the game on the line though)

3-14 seems to be the new 5-12.

All three games today down to the wire with the 14 winning 2 of 3. I have a strong suspicion Albany won't be winning in their 3-14 match-up tomorrow.

And it's great to have a boss that lets me work at home for a couple days.

Back half of the 'Elite Eight' goes today.
South
#1 Duke vs #2 Gonzaga

East
#4 Louisville vs #7 Michigan State

Yesterday Kentucky survived a scare from Notre Dame edging past the Irish 68 - 66.
I was so ticked thinking ND was going to win, but queue the comeback. ND went for the win, corner three miss the iron, Cats hang on.

Wisconsin got by North Carolina and will face the Wildcats next Saturday.

Duke and Michigan State advance. I think Duke(vs Kentucky) is going to win it come next Monday night.
