Anderson had a better save percentage than Andersen last night. Approx. 88.5% to 88.1%.
The Sens Anderson got shelled last year and I expect there will be more of the same this year.

They are going into full tank mode this season.

If the ping pong balls go their way Alexis Lafrenière will look very good playing for our nations capital.

not always sure...
Matthews loves Anderson (Sens goalie) he now has 12 career goals scored on him.
The Senators just aren't very good the last few years and are not a playoff team this year.
I wouldn't pin that on the goaltender.
Probably Matthews has done just as well against Buffalo and Detroit.
What he loves is playing in the Atlantic Division against the bottom 5 teams.

5-3 (could have been 5-4) against a 3rd world team is nothing to get overly excited about. The league need to do something about disallowing "offside" goals when it's only a matter of inches and didn't affect the play.

Amen!!
Reviews of very marginal offsides drive me nuts.

I know the Leafs benefited from it last night and it might have contributed to the win by disallowing Hainsey's goal, but it can also bite them in the butt and it's about fairness. Let the linesman make a call and don't disallow a goal because it was 1.5 cm offside.

The worst example cost the Jets a playoff game against St Louis last spring - they reviewed a goal where the Jets player was at the gate leaving the ice, had his back turned to the play as the puck crossed the blueline - he had one foot onside and one foot offside. Just before the puck hit the blueline he lifted his left foot to step onto the bench through the gate and he was technically offside.
Okay I was pulling for the Canadian team and I was pissed, but I thought the decision looked bush league.
If it's that close let the linesmen use their discretion.

They should get rid of video replay for offside.
You're going to get the odd blown call, it all works out in the wash.
