Me too!.... and the guy can play and gets a mere 4 million per year at a time when the Leafs need caps space to sign M & M!Agreed.
I like this move, and look forward to seeing him on the ice. He is tough, and proven.
Just what the Leafs needed.

Leafs may not need too, the Bruins are inline to play the Islanders and fall into the Metro playoff bracket.Dream on beleafers...no matter what they do, they still and wont get past boston, just like how the the raps could not get past the cavs
I hope he can contain the B's line of Boston in the playoffs:couch2:Muzzin should help the Leafs, I don't think they gave up all that much...
All by himself?I hope he can contain the B's line of Boston in the playoffs:couch2:
Me too.Hope Gardiner enjoys the rest of the season and his final months in Toronto.
Grundstrom was the Leafs 5th ranked prospect, Durzi unsigned.Los Angeles got two of Toronto's very best prospects plus the draft pick, so it's really a good trade for both teams. Toronto short term and in L.A. you'll probably see both Grundstrom and Durzi playing within a year or two.
After this season, the Maple Leafs have salary (cap) commitments of $60,275,699 (13 players already signed) for 2019-20He has 1 more year left at $4 million, Leafs pick up all of his cap hit. Issue here is the Leafs need to win it all in the next 2 years as too many key players will be up for new contracts with huge raises involved.
Overpaid? Nah, 1 round pick is late pick in very week draft. Grundstrom is grinder and the other kid isn't even signed. I could name 4 more Leaf prospects a head of those 2.We overpaid for Muzzin. Essentially, we gave up 2 second round prospects and a future first rounder. With this move I don't see another big deal being made before the trade deadline by the Leafs.
Muzzin is a rental for 1.5 seasons...
Any chance Mike is too stubborn to reduce Hainsey’s time enough to balance the top four pairing?Since 6 is retired give him number 51 once Gardner is traded. 51 adds up to 6. He is the replacement for Hainsey. Hainsey was brought in to do what Muzzin is brought in to do now. Muzzin is in his prime. Hainsey is past his best due date.
Hainsey will move down to play with Dermott. Next year's draft is not deep so it's the one to trade. After about 20 it drops off.
