Any tine the show heads north of 60, I like to watch it closely.
This time, it was in the yukon, with a local cowboy who name rang a bell and the arial photograph clinched it.
Their opposition were two London firemen in their late 20's, formidable from the start, but the battleground was weaker than normal, zig-zagging along a hydro cut out in the early fall and crossing the Takhini River, no further than maybe 2km from the Alaska Highway out of Whitehorse. They tried to hide it by clouding over the aerial map of Whitehorse and the highway, but the 50,000 hectare late 1990's Fox Lake Burn in full fall fireweed bloom just down from the famous Lake Laberge, was like a red light in the middle God's country. One fireman made it the other came thaaaaaat close. I'm sure they were able to cool their aches and pains in the end at the hot springs down the road.
Still a good watch and learn.
