You realize this is how it should be? It's not men's fault that paternity is susceptible to fraud. It's biology's fault.

Why do you think most cultures are patriarchal? It's because of this unfortunate twist of nature.
What some people won't acknowledge is the stigma and pressure not to. This way its settled without that. Why should someone have to go to court later to prove a negative?

I would really want to see how the law was written and what they intended to do with the records.

The original laws were written based upon the idea that the interests of the state was that children not grow up without a father. Thus once a man acknowledges paternity, he was stuck. Even if he discovered the child was not his. That was in an era where women didn't have the freedoms they do now, thus more dependent upon men.

Advances in science now allow quick and easy (and entertaining...thanks Maury!) ways to determine paternity. Thus, I'm in agreement that a male who is bamboozled by a woman should be allowed to get out of paternity obligations. After all, she knows who are the suspected fathers, it was not virgin birth.

This would mean that the state will eventually have DNA records of almost every citizen…I can’t see how this is not some sort of constitutional violation of freedom/privacy by the state?
Excellent point.
Mandatory on request of father/mother, stipulation it is not stored, but...can it be used for unsolved crimes?

Exactly my first thought....Gee I wonder what could go wrong with that?

That is the law in Ontario, in fact.

Well done Ontario.
Still most US states it's the old rules.
In Oz it's a case by case basis, and a magistrate can order tests if they feel it is appropriate. To DNA test otherwise requires both potential parents to sign off on it.

Ontario too technically. But the tests are ordered routinely, on request.

That’s one way for the gov’t to collect everyone’s DNA.

Wow. Never expected Butler to support the Deep State government tracking all people's DNA.
It will help "punish the bitches" though, so it tracks.
(And Butler is pretty authoritarian, as well.)
