Traditionally in Japan, a husband would come home from a hard days work. The wife would greet him by saying, "Welcome home." and often "Thank you for your hard work." The wife would have a delicous supper prepared. But often times, she would ask if he would like to have a hot bath before dinner. The wife would make sure her husband was well fed and maybe even offer a beer if he wanted. She would do the dishes, make the bed on the floor, and when they wake up, she would make him breakfast, and his lunch box. Then she would tell him good bye, as he went off for another day of hard work.

Every paycheck would go the wife, and the husband would trust her to budget and use the money wisely. The wife would thank the husband for the hard-earned money.

I don't know if this has changed in recent years, but it was the case when I was growing up.

This is very differnt from the West.

There are some rare one but good luck finding them. They are in small towns or small cities like 300k people or less but don't really mix or leave that small town. So good luck.

I think marriage and monogamy have run their course. The ideal arrangement for me would be a fuckbuddy who I'm close friends with who lives nearby. We enjoy each other's company and friendship and sex and then go back to our respective houses. We have the freedom to date who we want.
