Man wanted by Toronto police after sex workers robbed at gunpoint

Toronto police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed three female sex workers at gunpoint.

According to police, on May 29, a man found and contacted a sex trade worker through an internet ad. He reportedly met with her on several occasions and paid for her services, but on their final meeting the man allegedly pulled out a gun and robbed the 18-year-old woman of cash at gunpoint.

He then fled the property. No injuries were sustained.

On May 31, police say the same man attended a hotel to meet with sex trade workers who know him as a client.

Once inside the room, police allege the man pulled a gun out and robbed two women — aged 20 and 19 — of cash at gunpoint.

He then fled the area. No injuries were reported.

Benhur Wolday, 27, is wanted for robbery, home invasion with a weapon and robbery with a firearm.

He is described as standing 5'8" and having a medium build.

His photograph has been released.
