invisible children should save syria now rather than arrest kony..
Syria is a harder rock to crack and there's enough to do in Congo and it's neighbours with leaders who are worse than Kony tokeep efforts like theirs busy and hopefully more successful. Kony is only the tip of the iceberg.

Well, seeing that they discovered oil there I think we can sleep well knowing that now democracy and freedom there will prevail.

You are absolutely right about the oil, must admit this one had slipped right by me, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Here is an NPR article about two years old http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=122251143

and one from The Australian which mentions that the oil is a very tarry oil like that from the oil sands. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/bus...ificant-producer/story-e6frg906-1225776533456
i didn't know about it either and just assumed it was this weeks crusade, then a friend of mine pointed me in the direction needed and showed me all kinds of stuff about it.

Not knowing exact where 'there' is, but oil is not new to either country. There is a 'new' field discovered on the Congo border with Angola(?), but there has been commercial there since the early 80's, dominated by the French, which is about 50% of the export income, but don't even rank in the top 50 producers, below Syria at 46th, so not major players. Syria's had known commercial oil reserves since the '50's.

So weird. Wonder if he had a pre-existing issue with mental illness or if this was a bizarre one-off. Poor guy. Works so hard to raise awareness and finally succeeds and cracks from the pressure it would seem.

Scarier still, he's not the worst of these type of leaders., even others in Congo.
