The other day I met up with a dancer I've known for years; she's always worked at the less busy clubs, mostly as a comfort factor. We've become pretty good friends and she finds it increasingly tougher to make a buck because the clubs she works at are really slow aside from Thursday and Friday nights, so she has resorted to working double shifts. She just turned 40 but looks terrific and resists the urge to try out busy clubs in the west end.
Anyway, she asked me if I'd ever tried out MPs, which I frequently regularly. So I filled her in on the scene. She's done a bit of web surfing and isn't interested in MPs with a high profile (ie websites with pics of the girls) for her own reasons.
I think she'd easily make $40 to $60 in tips per customer as an MPA and probably would find it a similar income without working as many hours. I figured in a six hour shift if she got 5 customers a day that translates into $200 to $300 daily in tips. I suggested that since she works strictly freelance as a dancer, maybe she should try starting out just a couple days a week as an MPA and combine that with dancing.
Any thoughts, or further advise I can pass onto her?
