Will the Leafs make the playoffs now that a new GM is in place?

things to consider: every player knows his job is on the line. they will be forced to perform as they are being scrutinized under a very close watchful eye.

Toskala may be up to performing the remainder of the season. Several trades will be put into place prior to deadline. There is no intention of a 'fire sale' in Toronto, rather, maybe trading for some draft picks and trimming some fat. Other moves will be done after July 1st from what Cliff Fletcher hinted towards.

The fact that Richard Peddie hasn't fallen on his sword and will have the final say on who the next GM will be should horrify ALL Leafs fans. This team has to bottom feed to give themselves a chance to draft John Tavares. Complete distruction should be the order or else any Leaf fan above the age of 30 will not see a Stanley Cup Championship in his/her lifetime. Face it folks WE ARE the Chicago Cubs of the NHL.

As long as maurice is the coach they will never make the playoffs.

I'd be willing to bet money that the Leafs will make the playoffs.

I'm not quite as sure what year that will be.
