Has anybody ever been there and can recommend any hobbying activities?
I spend a good deal of time there.
The only decent action I've found is in the sugar baby scene. On the plus side it is a huge college town so a large pool from which to draw. On the minus it is an extremely liberal school so you get some "men are pigs and everything is their fault but I need the $$" attitude. Stay away from the gender studies majors (there's a lot of them) and you should be fine.
I cannot comment on the SC landscape as that's not my thing.
