Lousy experiences with 'popular' SPs

The recent comments about Annie have sort of prodded me to write this. I've avoided it for quite some time. Here is what I wonder: do some SPs get an initial good review or two, then everyone chimes in with 'me too' reviews?

Why do I wonder? I have only ever seen two SPs based on comments from this forum, and in both cases my experience was subpar, by a long shot.

Carrie Moon: borderline rude, abrupt, watched the clock and hardly looked at me. Yes, I should have left after five minutes. But I used to ply the hobby in T.O, some time ago, and a couple of the ladies I knew there were *very* cool until you spent a little time. So I figured things would warm up. Ha.

The other encounter shall remain anonymous (unless she chimes in here), but let's just say her reviews are usually quite the opposite. She had a bad cold when I saw her, so not only was she probably feeling like crap, resulting in a lousy encounter, but I got sick after with the cold too. LOVELY.

And no, I am not a great looking guy. But I always arrive well groomed, well scrubbed and neatly dressed. I'm polite. I pay for an hour. Frankly I have had better luck simply calling services, than listening to what is said here.

This is most definitely not my experience. This Board is and continues to be the best and most reliable source of information for the hobbyist. I don't think I have ever been steered wrong. It's always important to do thorough research and be able to "read between the lines". Sometimes, the most important information is quite subtle.

Good lord, do you write media lines for the government? *LoL* That's what your reply sounds like. Both these SPs came with the HIGHEST of recommendations from this board, when I saw them. There were no lines to read between.

Carrie has taken some knocks since, but the incident with her was two years ago or more, when she was the darling of this forum.

The second incident was six weeks ago or so.

There was always something about Carrie Moon that kept me away although there were many positive reviews out there. Not sure what it was, but it may have been too2shy's review which put a damper on my interest.

And I don't think I agree with you that she was the "darling" of the Board. I never had that impression.

Anyways, I'm sorry to hear that you were steered wrong. I was simply sharing my own experience which has always been very good. ;)

Okay, well...

Gee, maybe mom was right when she told me not to brush my teeth with Clorox. LoL.

From the limp response I'm getting here, maybe I just had two random bad hits. Dunno.

The puzzling thing is that I had two previous SPs that I saw on a regular basis for years, and others for shorter periods. In both of the strikeouts, I had 'picked' the two girls who gave me the kissoff as potential candidates to replace my old flames (one retired, one moved).

Plus when I used to travel for my business I was a *regular* hobby enthusiast in other cities, and like I said in my first post I had very few really negative experiences. One or two fell short of expectations, sure, but never like THIS.

Unless maybe Ottawa SPs are becoming a bit chilly on first-time clients? I never had this happen (for more than the first 10 minutes or so, anyway), but I guess things do change.

Oh, well. Whaddafook. :confused:

the Board's been good, but...

... Reviewers seem to more often than not overestimate SP's in terms of looks. Maybe it's because I've grown up with Montreal SP's? Ah yes... once you've tasted Gold, how can you settle for mere bronze...

I've found the info on the board to be pretty reliable. It seems like the odds were simply against you two times in a row. A superstitious gambler (aren't they all?) would say that your luck should change soon. "Pull on the handle one more time ..."

Luvdancers has already repeated & that was a mistake. IMHO his $ should be spent elsewhere.

No, I think you misread me. I would never, ever repeat with Carrie Moon.

As for the other... possibly. She was lovely and charming, she just was not into the, um, nuts and bolts of her job that day. She should have been home watching quality daytime TV, with a jug of Nyquil. :D

Bad experience

I also had enough of carrie moon.

We were engaged in 69 and she tooted right into my face. She didn't even apologize. :(

I never saw her again.

I have found that you have to be very careful reading the reviews. If you look for a pattern and do not rely on just one or two reviews, you increase the chances of "scoring" tremendously. The concept of subjectivity is very much at play on this board -- one man's treasure is another man's trash! So, know what you want, look for patterns, and make judicious use of the PM function. I have found fellow terbites, for the most part, very forthcoming. It is important to understand where the "reviewer" is coming from. Then make your decision.
