So I am looking to ditch rogers for home phone, drop to very basic TV, and maybe even lose for internet too. When searching online there is just way to much info out there that it beocmes overload and I can't get through it.

I am looking for replacements. I would love to get into downloading TV series. I like watching them all at once anyway. I have no idea where to start. A buddy got me to order a WD LIVE TV box for other stuff like Netfix and stuff cause I prefer to watch on my TV. I have looked at teksavvy, don't really know what option to go with and how reliable they are? For internet and phone. Magic Jack for phone looks like a riff off. Basically only want a home phone for added security of a landline. Want to keep my number.

I think I am heading in the right direction, but I don't know. PMs welcome as well. Thanks

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Teksavvy + hdtv antenna + appletv or googletv + netflix

Options are cable or dsl, which is really bell or rogers but at a reasonable price. If your had issues with Rogers go dsl. If you just hated the price but the service was good, cable internet.

Magic Jack sucks. Look into voip.ms or callcentric. Note that any internet phone is only as reliable as your internet. Both let you port your number.

I have used teksavvy for about 2 years now for their cable Internet. Overall, I am more satisfied than Rogers Internet. Teksavvy offers better packages at better prices.

Their service has been reliable and when they go down, it's easy to get an update as to whats happening.

The only downside is that it can take a long time to talk to a support rep. I have had 45min wait times, but they say they are hiring more to accommodate.
