I'm planning to go soon. Lived there for 3 years previously and can speak conversational Thai which really helps in some situations. Don't mind tagging along with someone planning to go soon as well. Usually get better treatment in bars and Go Go's when you're not alone.

I'll be going early Jan, why would anyone want a wingman they've never met before and probably wouldn't get along with, I don't get it. It's not hard to figure out the scene.
Hey wazup, since you don't get it let me explain it to you.

1. Its always nice to travel with a friend, go to the bars with, have a beer together while scoping out the scene.
2. Much more secure when going with someone. Less likely to get robbered etc when traveling in pairs, or groups. Not that this is aworry of mine, just saying that's all.
3.in between mongering sessions , i hate going to restaurants alone, and would much rather hang with someone else.
4. Plus, it is 1000s better to be with someone when going on a hobbying vacation, i have gone on numerous sex vacations, some by myself, and some with others, i always have a much better time going with a wingman, and having someone to hang and converse with, instead of going alone to everything.
5. I have made plans with people from boards like this before, and met up with them at the destination. I never had a problem with "not liking" someone, and i don't know why you would think that? We both are going there for the same thing, have the same interests, and speak the same language. And i find that most people would be delighted to hang out with a new friend while being on the other side of the world, instead if being solo for the entire vacation.

Anyways, to everyone else, i am up for any possible 2017 plans. Message me if interested.

why would u go all the way to thailand for just a quick one night fling? i donn get it. or go all the way there to risk getting robbed upon an outcall or incall? Or a quick rushed session with possibly only a handjob in the deal?
You can get robbed anywhere, including Canada.

Possibly only a HJ? Umm, that might be possible anywhere, even in Canada, eh?

Who said anything about going there for just one night?

To anyone who is experienced or has a bit of knowledge about LOS, you are going to get way more bang for your buck there than in Western nations.
By the time you've spent a couple weeks there banging hot chicks every day, the savings relative to Western prices will have likely more than covered
your hotel & airfare costs & then some.

To be honest I find travelling alone better and that's from experience. I've travelled quite a lot this past calendar year and I find that you're more likely to meet new people then you are if travelling with a friend.

I find when travelling alone you're more inclined to start a conversation with someone at a bar, restaurant etc. I've met a lot of friends when travelling and I do keep in contact with a lot of them. For example, met a good friend down in Panama two years ago at a bar who was from the UK (lives in Barcelona) on my first night and during my week in Panama would meet up for drinks and scope out the lady scene together. Kept in contact with him since and when I went to Europe this past summer, he came over to France for a week when I was there at the beginning and after when I was doing my travels stopped in Barcelona for a couple of days since he had a place there. Everywhere I've gone alone, I never had a problem meeting people, going out to bars with them when I'm town etc. and I'd say I'm more shy/isolationist then some.

I'll respond to your statements you just made:

1) Like I just mentioned, you won't have any problem meeting someone when travelling alone. You're more likely to meet new people when travelling alone vs. being with a group of friends.
2) Doesn't matter where you go and who you're with: common street smarts apply. Even in downtown Toronto it could happen.
3) When I travel, eating well is a must so I love doing extensive restaurant research before I go somewhere (start with finding an Anthony Bourdain episode and research on Chowhound lol). I find when travelling with someone, they might not like that type of cuisine or not want to spend that much money on dinner etc. When alone, you can eat wherever you want.
4) I've never done a vacation just to hobby, though I've been hobbying when in Australia, New Zealand, Panama, Vancouver, Europe etc. Never had any issues and quite enjoyed it.
5) I'd recommend going away with someone first maybe for like a weekend or couple of days somewhere close before a long haul trip to see if you're both compatible as travel buddies. Last thing you want is to be away for 2-3 weeks or a month with someone who you can't stand to be around. Made a mistake a couple of years ago going with a buddy to Spain & Morocco for 3 weeks and I'd never travel with him again. The guy would snore, was a huge wanker, needed to have a plan everyday etc. Most of the time we did our own things. And like I said, if your travelling alone that doesn't mean you're going to be solo for your entire vacation.

I went to Mexico 10 years ago with someone else, since then I have been to Costa Rica, Peru, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Jamaica...ALONE!!
After my first adventure I said I will never travel with someone again. As far as I'm concerned it is the only way to fly. I found hotel staff, tour guides, the other travels you meet almost always went out of their way to help you. I have had resort staff pull me to the side, have had girls set up for me, I have loved it.
I too have one more special holiday planed, 2 weeks in the Philippines, where I have a friend and free accommodation, then a week in Thailand..{maybe 2}
I will go alone...
