thanks guys, I have purchased a few OTR suits in the past from Boss but the last time was when I was living in Europe. I hope I"m not wrong in saying that OTR with MINOR alterations (i.e. the bottom of the trouser, or a little on the jacket) is suffice...I dont have a model body by and means, but do find that I"m still fortunate to have the suits fit nicely enough for me to not get a tailored suit...BUT reading about them has sparked some interest in perhaps starting my collection to include custom suits. In the meantime, I will try the few places mentioned above to see what is available....I only have a 2 day layover this time around and am dearly pressed for time hence the reason for an OTR.

At least check out the price of a tailored suit as you may be surprised to find it's the same or only slightly more than what you stood ready to pay. It's a matter of taste I guess: Boss is a designer brandname, and you pay a bit to be able to say it's Hugo Boss. On the other hand, you may be more proud of a suit that was cut to fit you.

So far all my suits are off the rack, including some Boss ones, and I've generally been happy with them. What's changed is that I no longer have to wear a suit at work, and somehow, for the occasions when I choose to wear a suit, I want something that's a cut above, more of a personal statement. So I'm thinking either made to measure or bespoke.
