The peak of the boom is just starting to retire now(late 50s, early 60s born). Our boom was back end heavy compared to the U.S. It was less about returning servicemen and more about massive european immigration in the 1950s. Those immigrants had a lot of kids in the 50s and 60s.Problem is the Boomers aren't retiring. They're the generation that wanted all the expensive toys and incurred loads of debt, and most pensions aren't paying them enough to keep that going.
But it seems business is determined to flood the labour market with new entrants.
