loft spaces in the city?

Hi guys!

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking at moving to a loft space in the city, out of my crappy little apt. Anyone know of any good places? I would be looking for something more along the lines of a "classic" warehouse space, something that needs work that I can fix up, rather than a preplanned loft that costs an arm and a leg. Tall ceilings and big windows are a must. Downtown - either east or west is great.

Anyone know of anything? I would be looking to rent rather than buy.

Sadly, many of the true loft spaces are gone; Sorauren Ave (just south of Dundas West), Liberty St area (between Dufferin and Hanna), Landsdowne Ave (just north of Bloor and also at Dupont), Dupont St (between Lansdowne and Shaw).

Queen/Dufferin might still have what you're looking for; Noble St, Abell St (Woolfits), Dufferin (north of Queen).

Queen/King St E of Parliament might still have some, or Leslieville, but I really don't know the east end.

I think there are some nice lofts by For Your Eyes Only...the parking lot just east of it you can see the insides kind of...looks like what you might be looking for...not sure if they are all gone though but I did see a rental sign outside a couple weeks ago

Oh thank you for all the suggestions!

I didn't mean I needed to live right downtown, anywhere south of eglinton and relativly near a Subway station is fine.

Anyone have any other ideas to help a girl out?

Hi harley!

Yeah, I finally found a new home and am taking time to fix it up. It is exciting

No, I am not dancing much. No matter what everyone here says about dancers making great $ I haven't found that to be true in my case. I have found toronto incredibly competitive and the majority of the girls are willing do to things that I am not and so I have gone back to my vanilla job. Which isn't all bad. I do miss dancing but I don't miss owing the bar $ at the end of the night because the places are dead. I gave it a year and tried a handful of clubs downtown and out in missisauga. It was worth a shot.

However as a way to continue my exhibitionist tendancies I have been seriously considering webcam work. Would anyone here think that they would like to see me on a cam all nekid and stuff?

had a 1600 sqft loft with a bedroom perched up 14 feet in what used to be the elevator shaft....great dramatic stair case up one wall.... great space and even 15 yrs ago it cost us $1600...I know of a 2br loft (Queen/braodview area) in funky NY style walk up...$1300 I think

mmmmmmmmmm....sounds like a delicious loft! Mine is all on one floor and around 1200sqft. lots of windows which look out over pretty much nothing but hey...it is a place I can get messy in
