So that’s,

99% Negative for covid 19.
1% Total infections to date.
0.03% Deaths.

Quarantine is for the sick.

I hate to say it... seems like a vacine will provide the courage through the storm.

You forgot the most important part, the number of cases and deaths we are seeing in Canada is due to our government's putting preventive measures in place to combat the spread of the Coronavirus, the number of cases and deaths would certainly have been higher without these measures. You want to get an understanding what it would be like without porper measures in place you don't even have to look far, just look down south and the dumb fuckery that is happening all across the USA.

BTW some of you people's whole schpeel is that there are many more number of COVID cases that we do not know about (which is actually true, so are more number of COVID related deaths) but how does that important factor not make it to your false narrative?

But none of what you post is surprising since you've posted numerous times saying you do not think shutdowns are the answer, regardless if the number of cases are exponentially increasing.

Yes because in our own country Canada we collectively as people did such a great job in following easy to follow guidelines, that a global lockdown and telling other countries what to do is what
we can achieve successfully. SMH at the lunacy that comes out of people's mouth without thinking.

Selfish COVIDIOTS are the cause of this, we can look at our family, friends, associates, neighbours and everyone else we know who is disobeying the very easy to follow guidelines of social distancing, adhering to contact tracing guidelines, putting on a mask in public, not congregating in large groups and make sure these selfish COVIDIOTS are held responsible and do their part for the greater good of the communities.

Last I looked at the news, the TDSB was something like 70% in person, high school students in person alternating days and elementary classes pretty much like normal.

My school is at 40 percent. So 60 percent online. I have a lot of friends that tell me the same at there locations. Sometimes; the news; you know; that government who is flapping there gums about how they actually know what they’re doing; wants you to believe otherwise. If it weren’t for the online kids; I would love to see how the numbers would actually be

For the most part high schools are virtual learning only. Elementary schools are on staggered schedules - students are on site either 2 or 3 days per week. Infection rates in schools are extremely low. Purely coincidental.

K; I think you are not correct here. Take a look at the charts. As of October 1; so 2 weeks in we went from 140 ish to close to 700. 140 ish being September 1. I believe a lot of it is being spread between kids and so forth. But; Ford is under a lot of pressure to keep them open and fuck the small business. But hey; what do I know. But I do respect everyone opinion cause we are not experts

Again this is not a recipe that can be successful without all governments having a unified response. Some people can come up with all the excuses to blame our government all they want but the problem resides with a bunch of selfish COVIDIOTS who lack empathy and not understanding or following the guidelines.
Being anti shutdowns and not understanding shutdowns work is also another problem we are facing, with people undermining the preventive measures that are needed at certain points.

Shutting down schools has alot of issues that alot of people simply are avoiding. If we shut all these elementary schools all of their parents need to be home to take care of their children which in effect would mean we have to shut everythin down.
But make no mistake restaurants/bars are a source of transmission of the virus, between the beginning of August until October 29th bars/restaurants accounted for 14% of all COVID outbreaks in Toronto.
Combining that with the fact that restaurants and bars are not a necessity it's easy to understand why they took the actions they did.

People need to act like responsible adults and adhere to the easy to follow guidelines of wearing a maks in public, follow social distancing guidelines, as well as adhere to contact tracing of any businesses and do not congregate in large groups out of ones social bubble. It's really not that hard to do for most.

And I will privately sit with anyone and tell them how fos the government school plan is. I see it everyday. I wish I was more technologically advanced so I can share a picture; but tcdsb schools right now are at 40 percent and tdsb at 35 cases in schools. Btw; in New York schools; they have half the school cases and they shut down. My point; if you’re gonna lock down; lock down for 28 days everywhere. But that’s me. You are entitled to believe whatever you want and live however you want. As I and others do as well. Muse is open as is Vaughan spas and if people want to contribute to there businesses; it’s there rights to support small business; right?

The way I see it is if we don't all follow the preventive measures guidelines as we should we are unnecessarily causing cases/deaths, and only prolonging the shutdowns affecting businesses mine included to a higher degree, both of these affects can be minimized by adhering to the easy to follow preventive measures such as mask wearing in public, social distancing, proper hygiene, contact tracing and staying within ones social bubble. I don't know how many times I've had to repeat this since March but it seems some selfish COVIDIOTS just do not get it.
Reading your posts I think you come across as thinking your personal wants should trump the greater good of the community and that's not how I see it.

I agree with you a complete shutdown would be much better, but the issue will still remain the selfish COVIDIOTS who represent a small but a significant portion of the population that do not want to follow any of the guidelines and are hell bent on breaking these easy to follow preventive measures of social distancing, mask wearing, proper hygiene, contact tracing and staying within ones social bubble. Maybe it's not bad idea that we be a little more like China and drag people out of their homes to jail when they are seen on facial recognition camers disobeying shutdown orders. I'd volunteer for that job

Sure it's yours and their right to support businesses as they see fit, it's also people's right to call out this shitty behaviour of lacking empathy, lacking any understanding of the virus and only thinking about one's own selfish wants during a pandemic.
It just amazes me that 11 months into a pandemic we still have to repeat that wearing a mask, shutdown or social distancing is for the greater good of communities and works as a preventive measure.

This is totally wrong
Elementary is every day (however every school board I have seen has huge numbers opting out for virtual learning, at this point more than half the kids stay home contrary to Fords rallying cry of keeping schools open)

High School has much higher attendance percents and they were the ones who had staggered learning (that was never a thing to elementary kids)

As we speak 33% of schools in TDSB have infections
50% of Brampton schools
So yeah its an issue (more teachers / support staff have been getting covid than the kids though)

Not everything, but at most 50%: some jobs can be done from home and only one parent is needed to stay home: so, the workforse is reduced by less than 50% (much less if one parent was working from home already or if parents can work at different hours)

In my office on my floor 12 people, 2 of them infected with COVID 19 both displaying symptoms for a week. I was in very close contact with both individuals. A lot of physical contact with 1 of them, nothing sexual. I am alive and haven’t been sick all year. This was before the masks, hand sanitizer and the lockdowns. Fortunately societies hygiene is a lot better now. I have to admit, I have always had a good habit of washing my hands.

If getting infected is a concern to you, truthfully it is in your hands not the governments. If it was up to me, I would have a more draconian approach. Which I explained in a previous post, page before this.

I am carefull.

One of the mysteries still to be determined is why some people are super-spreaders and others aren't. If you worked in close contact for a week without catching it then you got lucky because we also have cases where an infected person spend a few hours at a wedding and infected dozens.

The sad part is no matter what you do as a precaution, you are also depending on the people around you to also take precautions. That's why the government needs to be involved.

The limited science we have so far says young children (under 10) are far less likely to be spreaders but teens have the same risk of spreading (but fewer symptoms) as adults. I'd think it reasonable that high schools go virtual only until mid-January but Ford is too busy playing politics.

The sad part is no matter what you do as a precaution, you are also depending on the people around you to also take precautions. That's why the government needs to be involved.

This is only a guess, maybe hygiene plays a good role. I don't want to say more lol. The other 10 on my floor are fine and we circulated freely through out the building too, everyone was good.

People are also careless.

Also keep in mind my medical condition so i keep very well of my hygiene. I have circulated in many scenerios during this pandemic.
