I'd give a good chunk of it to selected charities. Proportionally to the windfall. Also to help a few family members and friends who are struggling because of Covid. The rest will go to pay most of the debts and save for retirement.
get my debt paid off like mortgage and quit my job.
Disappear from online presence and from most people who know me other then close family and close friends. Get a sailboat and travel to the Caribbean, South Pacific and look for opportunities to make a difference without anyone noticing too much. Examples like set up water treatment facilities for remote islands, maybe give them access to internet, or solar pannels and batteries or see how I can contribute to people affected by the hurricanes and other disasters and then just disappear and look for other opportunities. Why because it’s more satisfying then getting hookers and cocaine as fun as that sounds I would imagine it would get boring very quickly and would dull the shit out of me.
I’d probably want to travel to as many places as possible, get immersed in their culture, don’t show that I have money and see where I can make a difference without corrupting their way of life.
Here is a perfect example in the video below where if I had the money I would contribute to people like this who are making the best of anything with the experiences they are given.
So it all depends on how much money I had. This is assuming I won the $60 million.
There are lots of good causes to support and people who will get some well deserved help. In addition to that:
Step 1. A long cross country trip with nice hotels and the loveliest SP"s this country has to offer in every major city. Girls that I've always wanted to see but never had the chance or budget.
Step 2. Repeat above but with extended visits and overnights with the ladies from step one that I had some chemistry with.
Step 3. Winters in a Caribbean villa with the wonderful ladies from step 2 for FMTY's on a regular basis.
I’d sell any property I had, cut all financial ties to Canada so I can avoid taxes, retire as an ex pat to a tax haven with sunshine and hot women and tell the Canadian winter to suck it.
I'd give a good chunk of it to selected charities. Proportionally to the windfall. Also to help a few family members and friends who are struggling because of Covid. The rest will go to pay most of the debts and save for retirement.
This answer (proportional give to charity) always puzzled me. Let's say you won $60M and decided to give $20M to charity. You are left with $40M. However, if you would have won only $40M you would still give $15M to charity and be left with $25M. Question is: why after winning $60M you decided to keep $40M and not only $25M. It seems like you are "buying God's blessing" and not actually giving money because you want to. Why not give everything above a specific amount and keep only that specific amount? Or not be a hypocrite ans simply keep all the money.
Good idea, I don't buy lottery tickets. If I did and won, I would buy back the small farm my parents owned in Italy. Renovate it and grow weed. Then I would buy a beach house in Formia and hit on the ladies visiting their retired Scandinavian grandparents living there.
A fried of mine won the 649 Lottery. He took over hosting the annual Super Bowl Party and put out lavish spreads for his friends. So I took him aside and told him what he needed to hear, don't bother with the fancy food just buy pizza and wings. He listened, I correspond with him quite a bit over the stock market.
then it’s a good thing we didn’t actually win the jackpot ...maybe putting everything on the Bills would have been a bit reckless ...but easy come easy go
I would first look after my families future, gifts for friends, travel the world with family then go on an all out fuck fest at home and abroad on my own for a month.
Vegas, Amsterdam, Pattaya and any other famous adult sexytime tourist location.
After that settle down to life with regular play time worked in and do something to give back to society.
My life wouldn't change very much; I'd finish paying off the student loan (I could now but meh haven't been motivated to) and pay off my kids student loan, I'd invest more in my current stock portfolio and more into crypto (when it comes down again), I'd probably make some upgrades to my businesses, I already contribute to causes when I can and when one strikes me, I'd be able to do more of that I 'spose, annnnnd, extensive travel once Covid is controlled (that's already planned either way).
2. Change my my cell phone number (right away) and only give my new number to people I want to speak to.
3. Give away some cash to close family and friends.
4. Build a really nice cottage on my favourite lake up north.
And then I'd go back to university and study history. I know you probably don't believe me, but its true. It was the best time of my life and I enjoy academia. I enjoy learning and it keeps you sharp. The only problem is that I'm not 20 years old any more. Not necessarily full time, but part time and see how it goes.
