May I suggest a round of hot Irish coffees stirred with vigour so as to simulate the motion of a hot tub !!
This will satisfy THREE (3) requirements the first being the aforementioned hot tub, the second being the safety that Zoe's electronics will be safe (unless a pocket rocket is used as a swizzle stick) and the third will be a viable libation to toast Jenn's B'day!!!!!!

Legends does not have a hot tub. They have however put a lot of money and work into completely renovating the club. I remember hearing they were putting in anywhere from $250,000 to $500,000 worth of renovations and from the review I got yesterday it apparently is true. They even paved the parking lot, ripped down that old metal fence and made lots of parking.

One of the DJ's has said that they plan to have 3 girls dancing on the main stage and 1 on the second stage. I'm not sure how thats going to go over with the girls, the more girls on stage means the more times a girl has to do a stage show in an evening and that means less time for them to be on the floor making money.

For any of you that may be dancers, they have completely renovated the upstairs as well, they took the old poker room and the old change rooms and made new rooms (including rooms for girls who travel from out of town who can stay at the club) and put in showers and bathrooms.

Hopefully this will work out for the new owner, but what I've always found and heard is that there really isnt the money in Strip Clubs in London like there is in Toronto, which is important to the girls, and so the girls go elsewhere. Its a vicious cycle, no money no girls, no girls no money.

I encourage everyone to spread the word of Legends opening, I havent seen or heard any advertising from the club, they don't even have a sign up out on Oxford. He really should have advertised his opening night/weekend better. I'll be out to donate some money to the ladies and have a few drinks, I hope you'll do the same.

Legends Location

Legends is located at 50 Picadilly St in London 519-432-5454.

Reaching it from the 401:

Take Highbury Exit north to Oxford St. Turn Left on Oxford, head west on Oxford to the first set of lights past Richmond St. Turn left at these first set of lights (I forget the name of this road I think it might be Ridout or Talbot, it has a train overpass). Turn Right just past the Overpass onto Picadilly.

Alternatively you could take the Wellington St Exit and head north to downtown. Turn Left on Queens. Turn right on Ridout (or is it Talbot whichever one is first past Richmond) follow this north to Picadilly (its a small street on the left just before the overpass).

Review of the new club

Esthetically the club looks great. Everything is new, even all the bathroom fixtures. All new carpeting, seating, tables. The walls are painted like cool flowing curtains. There is plenty of room. The stage is a T shape coming out from where the old shower was. Now they have stairs there coming down from the DJ booth where the girls enter. There is also another stage off to the side in a sectioned/raised area.

Sadly they no longer have the trapezes, just a couple poles. Perverts row is created with just tables near the stage. There is plenty of seating, the club is wide open and the VIP room is more enclosed then it was before.

Sadly there are no big screen TV's, the old Forum use to have 4 or 5 big projection screens, great for watching the games. They only have 3 or 4 small TVs (maybe 19 - 20 inch).

I found the place too cold, I was shivering not long after being in there and it never warmed up. I also found it too loud. Over time they will find a more comfortable level for the heat and the sound I hope.

The most annoying thing I've ever experienced though would make me not go back. They have 3 flood lights mounted to the ceiling around the stage, they set them off in bright flashes in a rotating order. It was hurting my eyes every time one of them went off to the point where I actually had to shield my eyes to watch the stage in comfort.

Since it was opening night you found many old Forum faces returned, even some girls who hadn't danced in years but wanted to dance at the new place. I wasn't really impressed with the girls working, other then Jada (long dark hair, petite with a great body). Apparently his lack of advertising also left him short on girls working, he was even calling dancers at 5pm asking them to come in.

Overall he could possibly have the best club in London but unless he does something about those annoying flood lights you won't find me frequently this place like I did the Forum. I use to live at the Forum, this place could be just as much fun, especially with all the girls abandoning Solid Gold's because they are fed up with management.

Sorry I can't report on how the VIP's are, I went with my girlfriend and some of her friends, all of whom are dancers and no way would they let me go for a dance, we were just there for a couple drinks to check the place out.

I recommend that you check out Legends, especially if you went to the Forum and always wanted to see the place cleaned up.

Barber Chair

The old barber chair is no more, I believe it was sold off with all the rest of the pieces when the Forum closed. They even sold the old stage, Athena bought that.

I loved the barber chair, I remember 11+ years ago when I went to the forum for the first time and had a dance in the barber chair, still have the polaroid of it too.
