Leaving the Hobby....

Hey Guys and Gals,

I wanted to say thanks to all the people who provided valuable information to the users of this site. I have decided it is time to leave the hobby in fulfillment of other aspects of my life. Best of Luck and times for those who remain in the hobby, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Thanks for your great input on the KW board 8.5"..... you will be missed. I assume she's a special lady because you know how tough it is to leave this hobby once you're in it. If it works... congratulations. If it doesn't..... see you in 6 months.

I too tried to retire, and it is tough. I consider myself "semi-retired" now (only once every three months or so).

I too have a great wife who is beautiful, funny, a great conversationalist, and my best friend. Even so, my eye still wanders like any warm blooded male, and I view the hobby as the chance to indulge that without committing the true adultery (cheating with the heart as well as body)... Of course, I never do FS, so my warped mind can justify it....

I love a good rationalization. When I was married, I considered hobbying more of a sport than anything. It's warmer than skiing, easier on the knees than running and cheaper than.. ummm... sailing. But your logic is sound, at least about the adultery part.

Having said this, I eventually came to realize that hobbying was a sign of problems in my marriage (duh)... so all you married guys... look deep...

What's the secret CEO?.... have you ever see the movie Fatal Attraction? Did you read what Lorena Bobbit cut off with a sharp knife.... or was it a dull edge? Maybe our good friend 8.5" has just fallen in love with a first class SP who will take care of all his future fantasies and troubles. Now wouldn't that cause you guys to think about leaving this hobby?

Ditch your wives, and spend all of the rest of the small amount of money you'll have left on SPs.

She is First Class and she does take care of ALL the needs, and then some. I am optimistic.
