You're right yet again Rusty.
I love the Leafs but I'm also an honest......and realistic man.
As I said earlier.........the Sens have more depth.....and talent......and are far more skillful than Toronto is.
(Sorry pal but I really must bring up the past to make my point.) History has shown that the best team on paper doesn't always win. (I mean...............let's face it...........when a very banged up Leaf team beat the Sens a couple of years ago did anyone actually believe the Leafs were superior to Ottawa?
Of course not. But the bottom line is that they won. Teams that "should" win don't always succeed in doing that as I'm sure you well know.)
If I gave you a dollar for every upset in sports you could come up with you'd be a very rich man. (and you'd probably blow it all getting your weasel greased. LOL)

You make some very good points. I guess we'll just have to hope for a Leafs/Sens playoff series. Can you imagine the number of posts made about that series, if it does indeed happen???

PS Did you see the Lindros/Thornton fight? Cant ever recall to 1st overall picks getting in a scrap together.Lindros has freakish strength.

Sportsnet showed the top 5 fights between players earning big bucks last night. Tucker (Tampa) and Peca (Buffalo) along with the Iginla vs. Guerrin were probably the best ones. I was surprised with the Kovalchuk vs. Comrie fight. Ilya, just tossed Comrie around like a toy. They probably have it on the morning loop today if you have access to a TV.

I don't know if the Lindros/Thornton incident would really qualify as a fight though. Eric caught Joe with a lucky shot (Joe kinda ducked into it), but it was nice to see some fire in Eric. First "fight" in 2 years and it made the rematch last night that much more interesting.

"Leafs barely scraped by today against Washington 3-2"

Yeah, and they barely "scraped by" the Islanders the other night. Of course, the Sens FAILED to scrape by the Islanders the other night. ;)

Yeah.........and they "scraped" by the Habs on Saturday night. Funny, eh? All this "scraping" actually has them in first place. LOL

Rusty, every night I lie awake in bed just fantasizing about the Leafs and Sens meeting in the playoffs. The result is a full blown erection (or maybe 'fully' blown might be more grammatically correct) that my girlfriend reaps the benefit of. (I tell her that I am thinking about her of course)
When Tucker gets a hold of Alfredsson (after yet another of his little cheap shot "hit you from behind and then try to get off the ice quickly" moves) and forcibly separates him from about 6 of his porcelain veneers I can't hold back anymore and blow my wad with a fervor not seen since my teen years.

And yeah..........I did see the Lindros scrap. Both tough boys for sure but Thornton was totally open for that shot and Lindros showed no mercy. (I'll take Thornton in the rematch though..............you just know it's gonna happen.)
