First game...first period.
Leafs take a nice early Lead on JVR goal.
Some real nice chances both ways. A couple penalties exchanged!
Toronto competed well.
Sadly, Phaneuf takes a rather selfish, undisciplined slashing penalty....allowing for Boston to take a 2 - 1 lead.

IMHO the leafs played great.... for the firrst 5 min. They look lost and there allowing Boston to dictate the game.
The leafs are plaing the same way now for the past 5-7 games, being out shot by a whack and leaving Reimer to fend for himself
Reimer couold sue the team for non support.
Come on guys lets start plaing the way you did in mid Feb and early Mar.

the Leafs need to be more nasty, I don't believe i'm going to say this but I miss Tucker, he would stir things up.
Stop the give aways, play more nastier and charge the net, get Tuukka Rask of his game.
Start blocking shots don't stand there and screen Reimer, for god sacks it's the playoffs you leave everything on the ice, START PAYING THE PRICE GUYS!!!!!!
Colton Orr could be the difference maker. key hits, rough and tumble play and get in Tuukka Rask grill.

Overall effort - Poor
Goal - Reimer looked red and flustered.
Defense - Boston was coasting
Offence - Leafs outshot by a wide margin
Turning Point - Phaneufs first period ASSININE penalty, allowing Boston to score late and take a lead to the room.

As stated and with the game now over, Leafs were outshot 2:1
Simply awful.
Part of the reason, Lucic picked up his game with two assists!

Failed clearing attempts and bad line changes became almost comical by end of 2nd.
Out played, out hit, out shot, out coached.
Some players, too many to mention, seemed either nervous or simply over their heads. Either way, too many passengers.
Turning point, JVR hitting the crossbar then 10 secs later in the Leaf net with less than a minute to play in the period.
