More thoughts on the game....

Antropov is a liability and should be sitting...bring in Stajan will yeah Quinn.

Equally as brutal has been the play of Peter 'the ghout' Bondra, for the love of god JM will you sit him.

Martin needs to re-instate the number one line we had back in January Alfie-Fisher-Schaefer. Fisher and Schaefer or the only players showing up and Alfie needs some competent players around him and Bondra and White just aren't helping.

Lighthearted moments:

Can't remember which Leaf it was that tried to put the puck in the next via Chara's arse...that was funny to see.

Tie Domi missing an open net and hitting the crossbar. Hey Tie, suggest you get a new stick bud!

At least Domi's stick didn't break shooting it! That would've been classic! :)

It was Mats of all people who tried to score by puting the puck in Chara's ass. Overall I didn't think the Leafs played any better last night than on saturday but came away with the win. Ottawa was definitely more active winning battles but Eddie was getting good chances to see the puck and Ottawa was shooting at him. As the distinguished member from London pointed out yesterday, Eddie is doing what he's paid to do.

I was surprised at how sloppy the Sens were when the had the puck. There were a lot of errant passes and fumbles breaking out of their zone and when they were in the offensive zone, I got the impression that Eddie was "in their heads" and they were looking for the perfect the shot and missing their chances.

Neither team is inspiring a great deal of confidence for the next round...especially if they have Tampa or Boston on the horizon.

where's pansey these days?
I actually like Pansey, he's kinda entertaining.
He makes me realize there's other people out
there that are MUCH more screwed up then me.

I could see Quinn benching Antropov. He played quite well towards the end of the year, but he's been a non-factor so far - actually, I WISH he'd been a non-factor. Fact is, he's not playing smart or aggressive hockey. I can see Quinn putting in Stajan, who I think he sat in the first place due to a lack of physicality. Let's face it, Matt gets hammered a fair bit out there - it's only gonna get worse in the playoffs.
He deserves a shot anyway.

I didn't think Belfour would have to steal a game this early in the series, but he did just that. The Leafs overall were flat and didn't really deserve to win the game. Sundin's goal was a nice one though.

Go Leafs Go!

Sundin did a gutsy rush -one of the few impressive offensive efforts the Leafs turned up in the game. Hopefully Eddie's steal of this game will break Ottawa's resolve.
