Hmmm:

It's a good thing I had a chance to calm down before writing this. I realize we are all people, who are not perfect, and sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. So, that being said, I will offer no conclusions, only a synopsis of my appointment.

First off, did my due diligence and read the positive reviews, checked out her Redzone ad:

http://www.theredzone.com/oshawa/laura/index.htm

Called yesterday and had a nice conversation with her, and after the call believed we had a clear understanding that we had an appointment today, at the agreed upon time and place. Since I was coming from out of town, I left early and arrived at the mall, where I was to make a call to her to get the final details. Call was made at the appropriate time, no answer, goes to her voice mail, which states she won't be in today???? And she apologizes for that. Left a message for her to call me, nothing... Waited a bit, called again, still nothing. Left with a feeling of disappointment, and just a hint of bitterness. Once again, who know's, maybe her cat got sick, car won't start , whatever, trust is a two way street. Reliability is important, word is my bond etc.... I am hoping Laura will at least PM me and explain the details, but if not, life goes on. Make of this what you will.

That's too bad. She's a nice lady. I'm sure she had a good reason.

Shit happens in the hobby, I always have 4 or 5 as a back up, if everyone posted about a botched appointment, there wouldn't be any room left on the board.

If it could change at least one SP and how they treat their clients, then I'm all for it!!

Homer. I sincerely apologize. It is completely my fault.

It is not my cat who is sick. It is my mother. She has lung, liver and now bone cancer. Unfortunately, she is my top priority at the moment.

I did not feel comfortable calling you to cancel our app't as we had never met and I did not know your personal situation. As I was busy with my Mom, I was not able to check messages or return calls.

I hope things will be back to normal soon. But for now I will have to take app'ts on a same day basis only.

Laura:

Thanks for explaining your situation. Of course it goes without saying that family is more important than business. I also sincerely hope all goes well for you and your mother.

Dear Laura;

You are going through extemely difficult times. Cancer is very unforgiving. Although I have never met you, my prayers and good thoughts are with you and your Mom, as I am sure that the prayers and good thoughts from all of ous on TERB are with you and your Mom.
