KW Terb gathering - preferred night

Ok,

against my better judgement (those of you who know me know what a statement that must be) i think we should move the KW Terb gathering forward.

So far it looks like the Dollhouse carried the day in the now deleted poll regarding the location, so lets assume it will be there. I'll chat with Billy next time i'm in, unless someone else wants to volunteer to do so.

As i've read about the more successful parties in other Terb areas we'll encourage people to attend either with or without using their Terb handle on a nametag. if you want to put a face to a name great. if not stay anonymous.

I also read suggestions elsewhere that having contests to encourage interaction is a good way to get people to socialize. A Mardi Gras contest for the ladies (convince the men to give up their beads to them) was apparently a big success in Hamilton.

In any case, i ramble on, please reply to the poll & post your suggestions in this thread.

BTW - if you're a lady & planning to attend please just say so here - the more ladies that attend the less likely we are to have this turn into a sausagefest & the more likely more Terbites/lurkers will come out.

Great post Rogie..maybe we can still pull this thing off. There are quite a few people as far as I know who still would like to do this. Maybe if people posted that they are interested still, as well as vote on a day, we could get an idea of how many people, and who, will be attending.

I voted for Monday because I like the idea of $3 beer. But whatever night is chosen, I'll be there, assuming decent health (having a minor issue right now with pneumonia).

No hijacking the thread. So far we have exactly 4 people interested - not exactly a packed table, never mind a packed house. All we need is people holding out for a party with a 6:1 SPerv ratio & no way will anyone else have an interest in any other type of outing.

Put your powers to work for good - see if you can convince RJ to come out with us peons. & any other ladies you can influence.

Right now it's looking like early January & Monday seems to be winning out - i guess it's hard to say no to $3 beer!

So my best guess is Monday, January 10th, but don't hold me to that as i still have a lot of work to do on this & am a total newbie to this process. i'm going to have to drop in & chat with Billie (hopefully tonight) & then i'll be back with more details.

Quick Update

I spoke to Billy about this last night & he's definitely interested in having us do a gathering in January - probably a combination of it being a slow month & Monday being the slowest day of the week. Anyways, he's offered to provide some appetizers & the like if we get a few people in, so let's try to get the word out. He also has no issue with outside ladies (from other SCs, MPs or SPs) popping in as well. Throw in the fun tip action on stage most nights, $3 beer & it should be a rocking time.

I've been a long time lurker on TERB and enjoy going to the Dollhouse.

January sounds good and any night is fine by me.

Not on my watch

After an untoward incident at the Dollhouse last night i won't be organizing or participating in a Terb gathering at the DH.

If someone else wants to organize the evening more power to you - my days at the Dollhouse are done.

Does that mean that there is no TERB party? Since the Dollhouse is not likely to be the place for such a party, how about the Manor? The Dollhouse seems to be dead nowadays. The manor seems to have a bigger selection and is is a bigger place anyway.

I live in Guelph and would be willing to try and set up a party for the tri city area, but I need to know if there is interest first (since the thread about this is now kind of outdated). One other thing I was thinking (yes I do think from time to time) is instead of having it at a strip club perhaps holding it at a hotel instead, ad this would help ensure confidentiality. Of course if this was the case, there would need to be some sort of cover charge cause I am not paying to book a hotel boardroom (ball room whatever)!
