Going for Anti Rust treatment by Krown. And just like all businesses, I am sure not all dealerships do the same job.

It seems the lakeshore location is one of the better locations in Mississauga. Can anyone second that?

Thanks Guys.

I can vouch for the Lakeshore location. I have taken 5+ cars there for several years.

Compromised you must have your own garage. I do my own oil changes and tune ups,
but no way I would exactly know where to drill and reach little places.

Thanks nihlism..........going there on thursday. It is raining today. I think a sunny day is better to go.

Will update once its done.

Thinking about buying a Challenger or Camaro and rust proofing will be a certainty. What's the damage and how often do you have to do it? Is it effective? Will be driving in winter.

Check first.

Some auto manufacturers warn your warranty will be voided if you have your vehicle rust proofed with a rust treatment they don't approve.

that is strictly a scare tactic. They are trying to push you to buy their own over priced rust proofing service. Check the fine details of the warranty, it does not mention anything of the sort. Simply a dealer scare tactic.

I've been taking my cars to Krown for a few years and have no problem. The place I go to locked in the price and I've been paying the same amount for five or so years. The only negative is that the crap they put on the car hangs around and really messes up the underside, which I guess is a good thing. I did some research before going to Krown and it was slightly favored over Rust Check, but not enough to rule out going to a RC dealer if there was one closer to me. It's more convenient for me to go to Krown.

Rustproof your cars for $10 -$12 a year.

I keep my cars for about 5 years, I do the rustproofing myself. Just go and buy a can of Rustcheck at Canadian Tire. Spray it into the doors from the drain holes at the bottom of the doors, that is where cars rust the most. Spray up and away towards the outside of the car to get the inside of the door panel. With new cars very often you will have access to the inside of the front fender from the engine compartment. The rear wheel wells of newer cars look like they are rubber coated and do not need much rust proofing. The rustproof places use the same oil, and just to keep you satiusfied they overspray so that when you see all that oil dripping out of your car you will think you got a good deal. The truth is that most of their cost is in labor and overhead.
I suspect that doing it a little at a time and doing it at the right time will protect your car much better than all at once. Due to the heat last week, I noticed a lot of oil at the bottom of the doors going up on the outside. So I will do a quick spray in autum and early winter. I spray the center hubs of my wheels in the winter, my hubs are not rusty like other cars.

Krown Rust control excellent escept as you said the mess sticks to everything and comes up on the sides and in engine area, just proof it is very sticky and stays around. Worst rust proofing is Wallmart.
