So having heard much hype about this spa opening over the last few months, I decided I should get there before the "new spa smell" wore off.
Booking - I had to cancel my appointment, then I was able to uncancel it soon after. The receptionist was super friendly, and gave no attitude for me being a pain in the ass. I was able to get an appointment within a couple of hours.
Parking - if you are local and concerned about your car being spotted, walk over from Costco. They have a parknership (get it?!) in the works soon, but it's not there yet. The outside of the building is quite discrete.
Inside - very nice first impression. Receptionist is completely drool worthy. I could have spent the half hour just talking to her instead. The building is a brand new renovation, so everything is shiny, clean, and tastefully decorated.
The room - it turns out I was in the smallest room, and it did feel a bit cramped. Then again, I wasn't the one who had to walk around the table. The bed was a bit high, but I'm 5'7" and it's not like I needed a ladder or anything. I'm told they are being lowered soon. Lots of hot water and pressure in the shower, but no door though, so watch where you point the nozzle. (The shower nozzle, you pervert!) Electric candles in the corners were a nice touch. Overall a nice ambiance.
The massage - all I'm going to say is that I saw Brooklyn on her first and last day. She was a sweet girl, gave an OK massage, but otherwise was really not suited to work there.
Customer service - I spoke with the owner at length today to share my experience. Most of my feedback were things she already was working on, but I was able to catch a couple of typos on the webpage, so yay me. As for the massage, I have a free makeup session waiting for me. There's really not much more I could ask for than that.
So why did I just write such a long review over a meh massage? Well, the girls will change over time, and they will get their own reviews and reputations. But we don't pay $140+ just for a handjob, and this is my perspective on the rest of the experience. Customer service - 10/10. Facilities - 8/10.
So, Peterborough locals, pick a girl and give them a try. Let's get this business off to a solid start so they can succeed. That means more attendants, more variety, and more time for more visits for us by not having to drive to Oshawa or Pickering. Or god forbid, Reid St.
