Take massive oil resources and then give it away to foreign owners, take some revenues and give it back to taxpayers as temporary low taxes and screw over the future of the province with massive ecological damage from abandoned wells.
Compare that to Norway, which nationalized their oil and now have the largest fund for the future, have paid their way through transition to greener resources and where there is less poverty, better infrastructure and happier people.
