Anyone want to take a bet that some pinhead will make a Warsaw ghetto comparison when they force people out at gunpoint?

OTB
"pinhead"? Didn't you just conjure up that imagery yourself? :p

Even when rum is aged for 15 years it's still too spicy and harsh. And the sugar content is guaranteed to produce a hangover. I prefer the cask-strength single malt, or else the honest and virtuous Jack Daniel's.

..I think this event will be a turning point in the US. How long before people get tired about hearing about all the homeless, est 250,000. As well, because most people had Huricane insurance, but not flooding insurance. Almost none will get a dime from the insurance companies.
How much money will people be willing to cough up ?
This may destroy race relations in the States between White and Black.
Just look at the effect the OJ trial had. Or of course the other race riot, the Rodney King riot.

Soon we will be like the rest of the world.... only 2 classes, the ultra rich and the ultra poor. Our economy will plumet, interests rates will be like they were in the early 80's, chaos and civil unrest will occur, and marshal law will be declared and we will all be slaughtered like the sheep we are.
It seems our only choice is to overthrow the capitalist pigs and sieze the means of production for ourselves.

In a van down by the river
To make matters worse, there is now a bill in congress, that would give the rich a tax break, if devastated by hurricanes.
At the same time all people of color are losing there homeowners insurance, and so they should.
Why do they need a new house anyway??

lang discovers irony. Woo-hoo.

Unfortunately, the Shrub wants to repeal the estate tax AKA the Paris Hilton Needs the Extra Dough Tax.

This is another brilliant idea. Make sure that the very richest get a tax break while Americans with smaller estates get the shaft. And run up the deficit at the same time! And these people call themselves conservatives?

Exactly! Well they are neoconservatives. I guess they believe in the "new" math.

"O'Neill said he tried to warn Vice President Dick Cheney that growing budget deficits-expected to top $500 billion this fiscal year alone-posed a threat to the economy. Cheney cut him off. "You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don't matter," he said, according to excerpts. Cheney continued: "We won the midterms (congressional elections). This is our due." A month later, Cheney told the Treasury secretary he was fired."

Conservatives my ass! They just know how to play the "conservative" and religious right sheep.
