Karlsson is done for season.

What do you think ... Was it an intentional act by Matt Cooke or not ?

I do not think there was intent to injure by Cooke.

Intentional? No, but it is fascinating how so many great players get injured when Matt Cooke is nearby.

If you watch it in real time not intentional. If you just watch slo-mo it is chilling.
I don't think it was intentional, unfortunatly for Cooke he has a horrible past, almost anyone else and there would be little or no finger pointing.

It was intentionally unintentional. He intended it to not be intended. What could be clearer?

That wasn't the outcome Cooke intended, it looked like he was trying to wind him.

You couldn't be more wrong. I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and I want to see the best players play.

I don't want to see a player injured at any time.

Erik Karlsson is one of the absolute elite players in the NHL, the league is poorer without his presence.

An accident, pure and simple. Just because Cooke was involved doesn't mean their was anything malicious happening. It's not the first achilles injury from a skate blade to ever happen.

Of course it was intentional.
This is what Matt Cooke does. We all know it.
He and his kind are a blight on the game.

Cook's left leg looks like it was pressed right up against Karlson, so he knew where his skate would go when he brought it down. it didnt look like Cook made any effort to move his left leg away - certainly very careless.

Typical whining by an Ottawa fan.

And now they have a campaign to keep Leafs fans out of next week's game. "Oh please, don't let those Leaf fans cheer against us. It hurts our feelings. We can't stand up against them."

The Ottawa PissKats undeed.

Senaturd fans hate it when Leafs Nation invades their barn. I would say the ratio is 2:1 Leaf fans: Senaturd fans

It certainly looks intentional to me. Why would he raise his skate like that otherwise? Doesn't make a lot of sense from the replay I saw..
Matt Cooke does not get the benefit of the doubt with his history, in my books.

the game moves way too fast for anyone to try and deliberately injure by stomping on the Achilles
this was an accident pure and simple

very unfortunate , I hope he is able to fully recover as he is a very good player and his future looked very promising

Ridiculous.

One of the top players in the game (some say a Hart Trophy favourite this season) is injured by one of the most well known cheap shop artists in the league and you think it's whining?

Whether it was intentional or not, it certainly could have been, and the player involved (Cooke) has a reputation of hurting star players.

You didn't understand the purpose of my comment.
