Karla Homolka is not currently allowed to leave Canada, a condition of her release. She would require special permission as she is on parole. Also, which countries would allow her to enter?

Karla Homolka....she is on parole.

She has served her full 12 year sentence. She is not out on parole. There are no conditions to her release. They were overturned upon her release.

The irony is that one of those conditions would have restricted her from being near children.

More flaws in the judicial system...I figured that would be a very strict condition and then they bypass it.

I believe the legal problem was that she had served the full sentence imposed.

IF the tapes had been found before her plea agreement had been accepted we wouldn't be having this conversation. They weren't and a plea bargin was made. However, ask your self what if the tapes had never been found - wasn't the Crown right to make sure that Bernardo was convicted. Likewise, I'm sure all the Police agencies involved were trying their best to find all the evidence they could. I'm sure everyone involved in searching that house has said to themself many times "if only we'd torn down that wall."

When is Bernardo due for release?

The very first that he would have even been eligible to be considered for parole is 2020. However, he has been adjudicated a "Dangerous Offender" under the Criminal Code and so in practical terms has a life sentence without parole.

As to why she was not harmed in prison.My guess?..she played the same submissive role that she did with paul bernardo.If a guard wanted a blowjob..he got it...if a female prisoner wanted head.She got it to.She's a smart lady.i'm guessing she knew how to stay alive.Cheers
