So, what is you excuse for leaving the house to visit someone? With everything closed I cannot come up with a good reason to disappeared for 2-4 hours.

I don't need one, personally. As long as I can reply to a message and keep my laptop handy, I can be "working" from anywhere at any time, but really, I never get checked up on and if I don't reply for 30mins-1 hr, it's not questioned anyway.

If you are a worker that has a hovering manager, I understand your issue and don't have an answer really. Just take an extended lunch and tell them you had a dr appt or something lol.

Start a new hobby that will ensure that you have to leave the house to go to various related shops and you end up getting caught up in discussions with the people down there. You could also suddenly take up guitar lessons a couple of times a week. Dont forget to bring the guitar to the lesson that isnt a lesson.

Pretend you are working on some DIY project and need to go check different hardware stores. It helps if you build a reputation for wasting time at hardware stores. going to lowes and Rona on merivale is good option; between that and Costco you can easily justify 1 hour at Sandman

I actually did that. Lowes is adjacent to Sandman.

My go to in the summer is going to the driving range to hit some balls. It is good for a couple of hours at least. In the winter it is the indoor golf simulators although since covid it has been hit and miss with the lockdowns.
