Kaleed Rasheed MP Resignation

Based on most news reports, Kaleed Rasheed (Ontario Conservative MP) resigned (or was forced to resign) because he was at a legit spa (Wynn Las Vegas) at the same time as the founder of a real estate developer from Ontario (FLATO). This just sounds like a coincidence to me - what am I missing? Based on the last CTV report I read, the former MP was able to produce proof of payment (paid using his own credit card) as well.
